24 days!

24 days today and while sometimes a little bit of a roller coaster, I feel really good right now. I slept 12 hours last night and had a super productive day that never would have been possible if I would have been hungover. The fear that got me into a program is starting to fade. It's being replaced with gratitude for the life that I could have in front of me if I chose it. No more fck you drinking bc I'm mad at my husband, frustrated at work or stressed out by the mother_in_ law. I'm seeing a counselor who can help me learn how to cope with life's uncertainties without anesthesing my emotions. Hope everyone is doing well and thanks to everyone for support and honest feedback.

That's amazing! There is always an excuse to drink angry at some one frustrated happy whatever but it only ever makes things worse. I'm so happy for you that you are finding other ways to deal with your emotions. Your doing great!

Glad you're getting something out of sobriety - that is great motivation to stay on track.

Keep at it serenity.

I'm glad to hear you're seeking counseling. I did the same and it really helped me learn ways to deal with my anxiety and depression which are huge triggers for me.

You're almost at 30. In AA they would give you a special chip for that milestone
