Rough one ahead

Boy oh boy, just got done with a great gym session and sitting in the car wash..all before 10 am! Now, I have things to do today but with the rest of the day ahead and no critical tasks to accomplish I could sure go for a 12 pack...I CANT let that happen! 3 days in..again, I was never a daily drinker but a 2-3 times a week binge drinker. This 3rd day is usually a drunk day. Not today! Posting and reading SR really helps. This quit is serious. I want my health back.

Your health will come back, the longer you're sober, the better it will get.

Way to think it through, Waino.

It's going to get easier as time goes by.

Yikes, I hope your ribs are less painful and heal more quickly than mine did.
What did the Dr say?

No lifting for 2 weeks...so...should be fine in 4-6 weeks. I can still hold my little girl though . Going to be sore. I can deal with it.

I remember the many many days I would 'reward' myself for workout by drinking.

I'm very glad those days are over.

Exactly! I have those thoughts creep in while I'm lifting weights. Like exercise justifies some booze. Man, some of those nights were fun, but honestly, most ended with me kicking myself and then even more so the following day.
