I'm sure once you wake up you will not be feeling awesome. :-( Start again today and think of a different recovery plan. First step - remove what is left (if any) of that bottle.

These are some really good links, too, vendetta; they could help you strengthen your plan:

Shame and disgust aren't really useful emotions, Vendetta - unless you use them to propel yourself into making a better plan...

welcome back

I am sorry you gave in. Do not feel bad or get discouraged. Now is the time to get back on the horse. We are here for you and are all hoping and wishing you much success. You can do it.

I know. I have to refocus. Keep my long term goals on my mind for strength.

I made the same poor choice myself days ago. At least you stopped after one day. I let mine spiral on for a few and "feeling awesome" quickly turned into falling asleep at 4 in the afternoon, waking up at 2 AM to vomit and starting over again the next day... knowing I would just keep feeling worse. Alcohol is a nasty, nasty beast. Tricks our AV into thinking good times are ahead and the next thing you know it has a hold on you. Thankfully, today I took my control back. Sounds like you did as well. Let's do this!
