Missed you guys
Hi Jillian,
So pleased to hear you're going to try again. And I think 2 weeks before Christmas is a great idea. Too many people will find an excuse to wait. There's always something. The office party. Christmas. New Years, your birthday, a wedding, a funeral, friends birthdays, work trips, holiday, etc etc. But this shows a terrific commitment. A sober Christmas really will be a fantastic gift to your kids.
And also remember, you can only be responsible for your own actions and your own sobriety. If your husband brings home a 6 pack, and wants to drink, that's his choice. Whether to join him drinking is your choice. So I hope you choose not to.
Have you got a specific plan in mind besides posting on here?

Some good ideas here Jillian - welcome back btw
I think having a spouse who drinks might make it a little more challenging, but as many will tell you here who've dealt with it, it's not as dealbreaker...as long as I (or you) don't drink it's all good.
I think a strong support network is necessary tho - and the willingness to use it - so I'm glad to see you back
you can do this

Welcome back Jillian.
Try to remember this is something you are doing for yourself. And, if your husband chooses to drink, so be it. You can do something else while he's drinking.
