Scalp is numb

I have been drinking heavily the last few weeks. Like a mickey of Vodka daily.
I have been sober the last few days but i've noticed that my scalp from the top is numb.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Could it be a problem with my nerves or something very serious?

Nerve damage is pretty common with alcoholics. Also it may have been going on for a while and you were just numbed out when you were drinking and didn't notice it.

Maybe see a doctor if it sticks around.

Congrats on staying sober the last few days. Daily binge drinking can cause all different sorts of problems, but you'll need to see a doctor to find out if your situation is alcohol related. The good news is that our bodies and mind have a tremendous ability to recover, but only if we stay totally abstinent. And again, you'll need to seek medical advice from a doctor.

Best not to take any chances, and check in with a Dr if you're concerned!!

Each day it seems to get better! Not so numb anymore. The feeling is coming back!
What I did different is abstain from alcohol, and i've started taking a multivitamin, B vitamins, Magnesium, Vitamin C....
Head massages too - help circulation.
I'm also taking care in the position in which I sleep; I think many nights in the past,
when i've passed out in my bed, I may not be sleeping right. I have a lot of tension and tightness in my neck, which could be restricting blood flow to my head.
I've also tried to hang my head upside down to supply blood flow to my head.
All that being said, I do have a doctor's appointment this week.

In addiction, we can be so careless of our bodies. Alcohol is so toxic
Can't believe I let it get this far.
