1 Month Sober!

Or maybe 29 days? Math was always my worst subject. But anyways, it's in that range lol!

I sleep so good now it's crazy. For a good 20 years I've been basically getting crappy sleep because of my drinking, so this is probably my favorite part of becoming sober. Well and feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed in the mornings. Apparently that is a real thing. Now I know. :)

Never having to wake up wondering uh oh, where did I go, what the heck did I say in my texts last night or where did those extra beer cans come from and oh apparently I ate some drive thru?

NO MORE HANGOVERS WOOO :rotate:

No more feeling like garbage and I lurve it.

It really is. I love when I start feeling that natural sleep cloud enter my brain every night around 9-10 ish and then I comfortably drift off and sleep like a log all night.

Congrats, Yukyuk!

The first month is such a crucial milestone in early sobriety. And it takes a lot to get there.

Keep it up!

Surprisingly the first month has not even been that hard for me. Had a couple times as work was winding down that I tried to rationalize that I could go grab some beers on the way home but quickly ignored those those and moved on.

I basically made myself so ill by drinking so much over the years that my body would take 3+ days to recover from a couple day binge. It basically came down to me saving my life or kill myself with booze. I guess when I actually came to that fork in the road it makes it easier to abstain.

Really glad I found this place when I did too. :grouphug:

It is!

And it's funny how things in life in general seem to work out in a positive way when you aren't bogged down with wet brain or just being drunk all the time.

Congrats on 30 days Yukyuk :)

Yukyuk 12-05-2015 12:48 PM

Thanks for the good vibes everyone.

Was just doing some quick math in my head and I was probably spending $200+ a month on beers. And that was 90% cheap crap beer too.

Congratulations :)
