My Bird Died
 

My sweet parakeet Ricky, whom we've had since 2009 has passed away tonight. His bird widow, Plexy, is left with the birdie estate. Ricky was the only one who would ever sit on our fingers and shoulder. He will be missed dearly. My husband told me the bad news, my heart pounded a few times, my AV called out, I got through it, and now I'm back to normal. I need to feel the pain, grieve him, and move on. This will be my first animal grieving that I'll do sober.

I have a parakeet I rescued, I love him so much.

Oh CurlyGirl, I'm so sorry. I'm the mother of three feathered babies myself and I've had a few pass in the past. It's definitely a sad time when that happens.
