If your liver was wrecked you would be dead. The liver seems to have some remarkable healing properties but only when we stop poisoning ourselves. After years of drinking over a fifth a day my liver enzymes were highly elevated.

The doctor gave me a life saving prescription. It was called abstinence. Within 4 months and the only difference was not drinking my liver enzymes were in the normal range.

I knew I was killing myself so I went to IOP for 4 months and then AA 6 days a week for 1.5 years. I still go to AA 3X a week and today I have a life that is better than I could have imagined and am as healthy as a horse.
