Hello From The Other Side . . .
Thank you for all your replies guys, it really means a lot!!
I still feel incredibly humbled that someone like me, an alcoholic, childhood issues, on the downward spiral into destruction, very few friends, very much alone in this world, that many would take an interest in my story, my journey, my own personal path of Sobriety.
I am proud to be part of this community, for years I never knew what real connections with people meant, I went to work, I drank alone, I went to bed, that was my reality for a long time.
But SR leaves no one behind, we are here for everyone, in the same way it has been there for me, I have made friends, I have got involved in many threads and sections within the Forum, I try to give back to the community that had my back when I really needed it, that debt I feel may never be repaid, but if I can touch someone somewhere and motivate or encourage them to change their lives then it's worth it.
Sobriety for me was all about continually trying something new, if the plan didn't work, change up the plan, if I needed new routines, then I created them, whatever I needed to do I tried it, and that's the important thing, being proactive and saying well at least I tried everything I could!!
"Hello from the outside, At least I can say that I've tried . . . "
