Hi LilyMea. Welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of good information and support here. It's been a godsend for me. Start by reading posts and see the stickies at the top of the forum. You'll want to formulate a plan to get, and more importantly, stay sober.
Best place to start is talking honestly to your Dr. The detox process and be dangerous for some.

Hello! Welcome to SR!
My first suggestion would be to continue reading and posting on this site. It is hands down the best support group I have ever found and it is here 24/7/365.
Hope to see you around here!

Hi Lily, welcome to the forums.
There is a lot of great support here from a wide range of people. I'm 1 and a half months without drinking or smoking and already feel better than day 1. Its a bumpy ride but its worth it in the long run.

Hi Lilymae --I too am new here but it seems like such a wonderful, positive place to maintain sobriety! For me, I struggled with accepting that alcohol has no place in my life and NO I couldn't just have that mythical *one* drink. Once I accepted that, I feel more at peace moving forward with an alcohol-free life...but I take it one day at a time.
