CoDA Group on SoberRecovery?

This was the most appropriate place on this site I could think to reach out. Just yesterday, my counselor suggested I read more about codependency, and maybe attend a meeting. The meetings in my area are out of either travel range, or time for me. I know, excuses- but I work a lot! I was hoping there would be a CoDA group on SoberRecovery since codependency, and addiction are often hand in hand.
Do any of you know of an area on this site where I could find something like that?
Thank you!

The friends and families of alcoholics forum is a good place to start. You could also check out alanon meetings.

Take a look at the Friends and Family section, there are some good threads there. Also, the issue of codependence is touched on fairly frequently in the alcoholism section. Good luck.

Yes, do check out the Friends & Families forums. There's lots of good information there.

You can buy the CoDa handbook and workbook online - they were both really helpful to me. There is a CoDa forum elsewhere on the internet. You have to register before you can browse it, but don't let that put you off...

I agree it might be good to have a CoDa subforum on here though.

Sorry for the late response. I was never notified of replies- just checked and saw all these messages. Very nice.

Just my two cents - a CoDA subforum would be a great addition to these forums. Many people struggling with addiction are also dealing with this issue in their lives.

Hi shortstop

we usually start with a thread first, and gauge the interest from there.

If you, or anyone else, wants to start a CoDA thread you're very welcome
