Oh that is interesting! I agree, psych is an awesome field to study, luckily I don't have any math this semester, though I do have a required statistics class I keep avoiding enrolling in.....
Whenever I get insomnia too many days in a row I always think of fight club

Of course! Sorry Dee, didn't mean to divert the focus onto insomnia -- I understand that the thread is intended mainly as a place to go when SR is otherwise quiet. It just prompted a random thought about my insomnia experience that I thought I'd share

Speaking of which, about time for me to go toss & turn!

Thanks, Dee, for another brilliant idea!

My thought for the evening is to blow a hearty raspberry at all those well-meaning but clueless folks who have never had trouble sleeping and respond to the complaints of those of us who do with faint condescension.

"You'll sleep when your body needs it," they'll chuckle indulgently, or my all-time favorite, "No one ever died from lack of sleep!"

*Pbbbbbbbbffft!*
Or they're just like " that sucks...."
Yeah!! It does!!!

My family sometimes drives me nuts too because they stop by house and
let themselves in ( which is fine) but then they make a racket and call up the stairs " Jen, JEN, HELLO?!?!" Its usually just as I've managed to get just a little nap here or there so I don't fall over and die from exhaustion.
They know I get insomnia too, I've said a million times, come over but please be quiet, I need every minute of sleep I can get! No dice

I Think he meant we can talk about whatever we want, its just a place to hang out so it doesn't really matter what you want to talk about xxoxo
I'm going to start the tossing and turning in about half hour, for some ungodly reason watching murder/ crime documentaries helps me sleep.
I don't even want to know what that says about me

It's okay if you type slow. I read slow.

And why am I awake again? Lasted five minutes on the pillow. I guess I'll go downstairs and try to sleep while the wife is power watching supernatural - again.
Have a good evening all.

No worries and nothing to be sorry for, Andante.

I'm not one for 'directing traffic' really - not if I can help it

I'm confident this thread will be whatever it needs to be just like all the other threads

Nothing much, just laying down checking through the forums. Nightime and the mornings when I first wake up are when I do the most surfing here. I find it gives me a good start to the day and a good end to my night.

What are you up too Dee?

2 AM and all is more or less okay here in the chilly NW U.S.

I've been watching too many crime shows...*I'm looking at you, jsb* - it doesn't bode well for a good solid sleep. Plus I got zero exercise. Went to bed at 9.

This thread was a great idea, Dee. I'm having some hot apple cider and toast and hoping I'll be able to go back to sleep.

If you have any recommendations let me know, I'm always up for a new crime show

Woe! Thank you for this song and band. Never heard either but song sounds beautiful to my ears.

I am going to sleep for a couple hours and wake up to study. Got a midterm this Friday and it's weird sleep, mostly awake, 24 hour + cycle this week for me. Cramming, yes, yes I am
