Anxiety / Anger cravings

My 1st problem is that every time I get ****** I confuse my anger and anxiety for cravings.

My 2nd problem is that I'm often in a bad mood at this present stage in my life.

How I wished I could crave exercise or salad sandwiches or housework or anything useful or healthy.

I find of helpful to remember that cravings are simply thoughts. They will pass and you get to choose how you react. For example, you chose to come here and talk them through this time rather than drinking.

Hi Chances....be kind to yourself & know you are not alone in this. I find doing little things, a cup of hot tea, a walk, reading a book help the feelings of anxiety & to get through the craving. Meditation music & some deep breathing help a lot. ((Hugs)) to you

Hi Chances, cravings seems to be linked to anxiety and bodily needs so make sure you don't get too hungry, thirsty or put yourself in a position which causes stress.

I found taking 5 deep breaths, concentrating only on my body, almost always helped.

I had to work out alternative strategies for my 'trigger points'.

Have you look at any other approaches to deal with your anxiety or anger? Would you consider counselling, for example?
