Prayers going out. I do not believe loved ones human or animal are ever lost. They have just moved to a different place and are patiently waiting for us when it is our turn.

Until then grieve the loss, rejoice in the wonderful memories and know she has only left our world not our hearts or the world to come

Hi freeowl. So sad to hear this. For once I don't need to ask advice, I understand how you feel completely. When my old dog went it seemed as though every bit of companionship all the good times and the unconditional love became like a huge debt to pay. The more they give you the harder it will be when they leave you alone. Now I'm sure it feels as though you have lost your own shadow.
Give it some time and when you are ready; you'll know what to do. All the best

So sorry for your loss of your beloved dog. They are part of our family and heartbreaking when we have to let go of them.

I'm sorry about Zoey, FreeOwl. It's so hard to say goodbye to our beloved furbuddies. I hope you're consoled by knowing you gave Zoey many years of happiness and love.

Thanks all.

Doing OK. At my home group yesterday I really was sad. Cried a lot all morning.

I'm glad we have my Lady's dog around. He is sad too. But he's also comforting.

Time is what heals I suppose. This past few days I've been either deeply sad or just numb and without energy. Going for a run with a friend this morning.

I hope you are all well - and sober - today a
