Made it through the night

Got through and onto day 2. Pretty tired. Off work today but working from home most of the morning.

The fatigue is pretty all encompassing right now, but I'm happy to get the first 24 hours out of the way.

Picking up right now is the last thing in the world I want to do.

Good morning everyone.

Just made it through the first rally bad burst of craving. Went down to have a couple cigarettes and I believe the connection did it.

Kind of shaky and body aches. Got a Gatorade and went upstairs to take myself out of the environment. Feeling stressed and slightly panicky but just hydrating and deep breathing to calm down.

The fatigue and tiredness is a blessing in disguise, trust me. Going to bed early and taking naps was one strategy I used to stomp out the cravings. Your body is going through a lot, so be sure to eat healthy, stay hydrated (good idea w/Gatorade), and get plenty of sleep. Today is my day 28, and I can tell you it is TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Do not give up! Expect some rough times, but I can't even explain how great it is, and I'm still early on. You will get your life back!

Well done, I'm on day 4, it's tough
, probably the hardest task ever but it's possible and the good news is it will get easier, stay strong and keep your mind occupied, pick up the phone and call a member, come on here and rant, go to a meeting, whatever it takes you will never be judged in recovery....
