Need help.

So discouraged. Drinking has been out of control every night. I drank half a 1.75 bottle of vodka just last night.

Took off work today but not even that hungover. Tolerance is so high but I've had minor alcohol withdrawals at work every day.

I gave to get off this crazy train. All I do is go to work and come home to drink.

I'm dropping it today. I have some benzos to help if wwithdrawal gets too bad and I'm taking magnesium and trying to rehydrate.

I have to stop this or I'm going to die from this alcohol and I'm scared.

Best wishes ST. Hopefully that was the last half of the half-gallon and careful with the benzo's--they generally are prescribed with a taper schedule. Can you see a dr. ?

For a variety of reasons, I don't want to (involve the doc) at this time.

I think I can manage this without a separate medical intervention, but if it gets too bad I'll go into the ER.

I think I just need help and encouragement staying off the bottle. I live in a house with other drinkers and have asked about not having alcohol in the house but they don't agree. So, I have to work past the temptation.

Right now my mindset is easy for that, but come the evening it always goes to crap.

Good decision Sobertaurus.

I know it's stating the obvious but drink plenty of water during the first couple of days

Thanks for all the support. Drinking Gatorade right now and trying to rest.

Right now the only part of my recovery plan is to plan out each evening with a goal of what I will do and rehearse it in my mind so that I don't come in the door and go straight to the bottle.

Visualization. Prayer. Possibly meditation. I'd like to add in exercise when I feel a bit better. Considering aa.

I ate everything in the house non-stop for the first week. Beats drinking and the body must have needed it. Onward!

Did you dump the other half of the bottle?
