Well, I had to buy black work-type shoes. That was $45. Then a couple shirts and a food handler permit.

No worries, at least I don't have to worry about what to wear, it's basic stuff and I won't be spending money on clothes, plus I get to wear athletic shoes.

What did the vet say?

I am ready for the day to be over. It's been hell day for me. I don't even want to drink, but I mixed orange juice into my club soda on ice, and when I drank a few gulps down, I realized it reminded me of a screwdriver (vodka & orange juice).

They have been watching her for a few hours and they think she vomited up whatever it was she ate that made her sick. He paid for the emergency visit with our CareCredit card, and they are on the way home. He said she's visibly improved in a short amount of time. They said to watch her tonight and to bring her back in if anything changes.

He said it looked like she vomited up an entire chicken pot pie. A couple days ago I gave them both pot pies after Lucy's surgery, as a treat.

Yeah, I had to stop drinking limeade and soda ....too triggery. I loved me a Margarita or tequila with a lime or Mojitos.

Bim! Congrats on the job!

The first job I got after I had been sober a while was at a book store. Minimum wage. Part time....until the holidays.
I loved that job. Loved it. I was sad to leave when I had to finally go out and get a better paying job.
Enjoy yourself, Bim!

Sending good thoughts SP.

heh, we've been playing, "How does this computer application work?" The lady is new. She kept saying, "I'm new at this," and I said, "Me too!" I'm not convinced computers reeeeeaallllly make stuff easier for regular Joes. It's okay, it's done.

I'm thinking a retail position for the holidays this year. I'm sending an app to victoria's secret for in store sales.

I have a good eye for things like that.

ooooh. Missus LB would be thrilled with employee discounts at VS.

IF there still was a Missus LB once employee orientation was over.

Well, I spent last night in town.
It annoys me that anytime I want to see the few friends I have, I have to book a room. My Granny would turn in her grave if she knew that I was spending €60 on a B&B when she had a nice house in the city. But I refuse to beg the aunts for anything, since their last words to my mom and dad (who were always so good to them) were to "never darken the door again" and "see you in court".

Having said that, my friends have been very generous towards me, but they all have jobs and families and I wouldn't want to impose

LBrain I just heard that one of Victoria's Secret signiture perfumes works better than bug repellent on mosquitos. Maby it could be your specialty. Not saying you couldn't work in the other areas though.

Then again, in a way I'm quite lucky. This time last year there was no way my folks would let me stay the night alone in a B&B. Here's to sobriety, and moving on

hang in there tetra... you are moving forward - always forward...
SP, sorry to hear about the pooch.. when it rains, it pours...

I learned a lot on my visits to the trashy diva, I know all about sizing and fittings etc... and I can tell what works and what doesn't...

it's pizza night:
Thin crust boboli
Portabella mushroom
Thin sliced green pepper, yellow onion, garlic
Chopped dried plum tomatoes stored in olive oil
Fresh sweet grape tomato, fresh vine tomato
Sliced black olives, pepperoncini pepper slices
Chopped green onion/chives
Thin slices of pepperoni
Goat cheese with greek herb crust

Slather crust with olive oil, layer everything on top
Give it a light coat of grated parmesan
Heat oven to 400 and wait…

Looks delish, LBrain.

I cooked chicken in the dutch oven until it fell off the bones, made brown rice, and mixed veggies. This is our standard dog food meal for the beagles. I shared their dinner tonight

Lucy ate like she was starved. This was her first big meal eaten since the surgery. Katie is curled up like a baby sleeping on her bed.

Wolfie, thanks for sharing those photos. I'd not seen your photo album before -- it looks like you have such a pleasant back yard.

SP, I'm so sorry to hear of Lucy's struggle. I hope that she grows happier and healthier by the minute.

And yes, Brain and Mesa -- you guys crack me up, as always.
