74 days and need a plan

There are more days that I don't think about drinking than days that I do think about it. My mind and body feel so much better most of the time. I've been so busy lately getting ready to move. I also temporarily have a 45 minute each way commute which is taking up time during the week.

This brings me to my planning and dealing with life sober issues. It is very possible that being so busy right now is what is occupying me so that I don't really think about drinking. I am going to put a plan in place so that once I'm moved and 10 minutes from work that I won't fall into the temptation of drinking when I'm no longer busy all the time. My new sober life is so much better and I do NOT want to go back.

At this point I don't know what plan will go into place, but any suggestions are welcome.

You're not shackled to not drinking, you're free from drinking

My go-to after work is a health club. I belong to the I Y which is close and cheaper than other clubs .That's good for at least an hour. And who wants to drink after getting healthy.

I'd work on getting a few friends who do not drink. Do not be alone with all that free time you will have once things slow down.

I love to walk whenever I have free time, or read.

Some great ideas. Thank you all!!! I've been wanting to work out. Since my pups are now used to being home an extra hour going to the gym right after work would be ideal. Plus there is a reasonably priced one right on my way home (once I get moved).

On your drives, try listening to AA podcasts of great speakers. They are on you-tube. They're are audio only and perfect for long drives. Very inspiring.
Sandy Beach is a great speaker. (I know... It really is his real name!)
