Melina, I hope you do get your blood work done, and talk to doc even if it looks ok.

" It is very difficult for me to find any motivation in my free time, even to feed myself. I let it go until I'm freaking out from hunger. "

I relate to that.

Melina, I felt very tired too, and sometimes still do. Not sure if it's getting sober, aging, nutrition, or what.

Are you exercising regularly? I had to start walking and running pretty regularly. It eases anxiety, gives you energy, and helps you sleep.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but it really works.

But it's hard to do if you feel tired anyway.

I take a B complex. I read somewhere recovering alcoholics need one, or at least it's recommended. I also take magnesium. I prefer to get vitamins from food, but lately I haven't been eating enough fruits and vegetables. Time to ramp that up.

SoberP, even if you state the obvious, it sounds so intelligent and frank to me! I guess I still need to hear it!

G'night. I'm going down for another ridiculously early night. I feel a little nutty, a little off--but I am going to bed on day 12, and very happy for that. I may watch something on Netflix. See you all tomorrow.

I never exercise. I'm on my feet my entire workday so I pretend that's enough.

My bf wants me to go to the gym with him. I may just have to do it. I feel wiped out constantly.

I like yoga and zumba, and I can tolerate the elliptical.

I do wonder how much of this is due to my body healing. I'm on day 157 but also almost ten months with some (very few) drinking nights before I started stringing together continuous sober days.

.
The Small Company I worked for a long time had a pretty forward-thinking Owner. He booked a Nutrition Guru ~25 years ago, and we attended on the Clock. I Videotaped and edited his Seminar.

In as tasteful a manner as he could, he cited a Septic Tank 'Tech' to make his point. This Gent observed that he'd pumped out an innumerable quantity of intact 'Pills' when emptying Septic Tanks. The theory was that the compressed surface of said Pills doesn't let them break down in your G.I..

Since then, I chew and break in at least half all Vitamins, and hard Pills like Benadryl. A leap of Faith...

Yoga and zumba would make it "fun" so maybe you'd look forward to it, Melina

Wow, Mesa, that is intriguing, and surprising! And then again, kinda not surprising. It does make sense. Huh. So now that makes me really wonder about these pills.

We had been eating vitamin gummies, the soft gummy bear like candy vitamins, but then I noticed they all used folic acid instead of the folate, and I've searched for some that use folate. Haven't found any gummies with folate!! I wish I could make some and market them and make tons of money before someone else does, cause I'm sure someone will do it.

Potamus....you might try pre-natal vitamins. There are some that contain folate and are vegetarian. Just a thought.

Sweet dreams rogues. See y'all on the new bus!

Wow you've been busy. Bim, good luck tomorrow on your interview. I worked retail 2.5 years before this job. I enjoyed it because I didn't bring it home with me at the end of the day.

I take red rice yeast for cholesterol. Have to get my blood checked soon so I'll see if it's working, magnesium, vitamin c and a B multi with iron and C. I should look into D as well.

Time to hit the hay y'all. See you on the new thread.

Morning everyone

Maybe you could get a blood test Soberpotamus, that would tell you if you are low on anything in particular.

Off for a short run

First time I have posted on a Thursday morning

G'morning guys.

A few hours of work, ortho appointment, and then a job interview around 4pm. That's my day today. I'm just not feeling it for some reason. One of those blah days. This week has been a slog.

I am so tempted by the Nordstrom fall sale online. Someone please tell me it's not in my best interest to buy half price sweaters right now. I really don't need them.

Chugging coffee, then shower time.

Have a good day, everyone.
