Blood work back
 

It had been over ten years since my last physical. Of course I didn't get one when my drinking was at its worst because I knew the doctors would discover I was an alcoholic. And I wasn't ready to deal with that, if you know what I mean. 😉

So with much trepidation and fear, I finally went for the works. My blood test results just came back and I'm 100% healthy. I can't believe it.

I'm so grateful right now. . . Just needed to share with others who understand. . .

Great news, I am happy for you! Amazing that you were able to get out of your addiction!

How long had you been sober before finally doing the check up?

Good job, I believe that with time the body begins to heal itself.

Dallow - 10 months. I spent that time focusing on all the things I needed to do to stay sober, and I really didn't think I could handle the bad news (a bit pessimistic, I know, but I drank A LOT for a long time).

Great news....now don't let the good news give you a license to "experiment", thinking you're not as bad off as you thought. I fell into that trap more than once!

BBQ. Right on. You won't believe it, but for a nanosecond, that thought ran through my head! "See you're not so bad." But rest assured, there's no way I'm drinking. I've worked too hard to get here.
