Lost
This is my first time posting here my husband is currently in a detox facility for opiate addiction and I feel so lost..I knew he was abusing his pain pills and he just recently admitted that he needed help..he has lied to me about this for the past year and he has financially drained us all do to his addiction..I love him very much and want more than anything for us to get passed this and have a normal life but how do I get past all of the hurt and the lies he has told
I hope the support here can help you get thru this. We also have a forum for friends and family of substance abusers.

Hi Julie, welcome to SR, im sorry ur feeling so upset at the moment, must b very hard for u. I don't personally know ur situation, but addicts are ill. I'm sure ur husband feels absolutely horrific about what he has put u through but we struggle to realise at the time what we r doing & the consequences. It is a need & want that is ur only focus. How long will he be in treatment for??
