What I see in SR.

I am so glad that I found this site. I have some observations that I would like to share to all newcomers (I am on day 4 today)
1) Stick around and read some posts. I did and I see myself and my situation here over and over and over again!
2) People here care and want to help in any way that they can.
3) Try (and this is the hardest thing for me) not to look too far into the future!! There is something to the "one day at a time" deal!
4) Tell your friends that you are going to stop drinking/using etc... this was a hard one for me because I was worried about their reaction, but I have gotten nothing but support from my closest friends.
5) Think of the positives of your new found sobriety. I am extremely new to this, but I can think of some already
* Clear head in the morning, not having to pretend to remember everything that happened last night!
* A better sense of smell (this may sound wierd, but it's true!!)
* I have found it empowering to be sober
That's all for now. Thanks to all. Here's to day 4.

Just... Wow.
What a great affirmation to wake up to jmhs. You know, I saw you posted somewhere else that you hope you can help other people too.
You have done just that, from the moment you arrived and started sharing about yourself.
Thank you for a great post.
Here's to today indeed

Right on, Keep the faith, Don't put anything in you body that you don't want there, you help someone by doing just that and talking about it. Symplicity is key!!!!!!
