Thanks to everyone here and elsewhere who expressed care concern and good wishes 
I saw my Dr today - all seems to be ok, no complications. I get a little less pain and more mobility back everyday but this is going to one of those injuries that is going to take a little time to heal, and until it does, sitting here for any length of time is pretty much impossible.
Just wanted everyone to know I'm ok - I'm in some pain sure but I'm not depressed, I'm not scared of the scooter, and I'm not in any kind of recovery danger - so, for those who worry, there's no need to

Good to hear from you, Dee - I'm guessing this will be a great excuse to relax this weekend and treat yourself to a few extra pieces of Halloween candy. Certainly not the type of scare we all had in mind this frightful weekend, but it's great to know you're on the road to feeling better soon. Good to hear you're not letting this little hiccup spook you from the scooter, either. Thanks again for checking in, man! Best wishes on a smooth recovery!
