Never been here. Hi!
Not new to recovery, (although time is relative in the rooms lol) - but new to this site. I understand there are precautionary measures of being in the Internet for many of us are sick in more than one way, some sicker than others. Having acknowledged that, I am still willing to help without information exposure and by keeping it generalized. I don't want to know what job you do, what you make, how old your kids are or yourself,.. And vice versa please don't ask me questions like that as it doesn't pertain to recovery anyway. My age, status, religions, and skin color never pertains. Alcoholism/drug addiction does not discriminate. You can be on Wall Street or on the streets. You can be Asian, Hispanic, from some carribean island,.. Underneath us we have the same problem.. The moment we ask each other what job we have or what age we are separating ourselves which will move us toward a sicker state. We listen and seek similarities and not the differences. Hope WE can all work together as a group and bring upon true inner happiness and freedom from the bondage we have put upon our lives. God bless. Have a wonderful kind loving sober day.
Welcome, you can share as much or as little as you choose.
Some of us here do choose to share details of our lives with those we've have gotten to know and trust. Some of us form deep friendships here.

Glad you're here, welcome!
Been here for a bit, never had anyone ask me any of those questions.........of course I can't tell you what internet brands does with IP address information - may consider a proxy server if you're concerned about highest levels of anonymity.

I'm new to this website too (about two weeks). While a lot of folks tend to choose to share details about themselves while discussing their situations, struggles, and victories. I have not experienced anyone trying to pry anything out of me. This place has been nothing but an oasis of support and a truly caring group of folks who share the same issues as far as I've seen and I've spent a lot of time reading and posting here in the last couple of weeks.
Welcome aboard.
Welcome aboard.
Welcome Solushun. How much or little you share is totally up to you. I think some feel a closer connection to their recovery when they share more than what another might feel comfortable doing.
What ever your comfort level is, we all have a common goal.
