Another funny story about being sober.
I mentioned in earlier posts aince I quit drinking five days ago, I've gone through a DUI roadblock, found empty bottles I had forgotten about, etc. I since went around and checked everywhere for empty bottles to make sure they are out of the house.
Here is another. My wife has been out of town on business- she just got in today and wants to take the dog for a ride on the farm. She can't find the key to the golf cart. I am at work and she is asking where to search. I am rattling off different places they likely are and last week, I would be panicked that she would come across my stash of liquor looking for these keys. Feels good that I don't have that guilty conscious worrying about what she might find.

That's awesome! I totally relate. Now that my bedroom isn't full of empty and full beer cans and wine boxes, I didn't mind the other day when my sister called me at work to ask if she could go into my room and borrow my phone charger. Such a simple thing, but a thing I would have vehemently denied her doing 25 days ago.
You never do know what kinds of bad effects drinking will have on other people, even simple stuff like not being able to use a phone charger or golf cart keys when they need them.
It sounds small, but it's the kind of thing you never take into account when asking yourself, shall I drink tonight, and why not? Great story!
