100 days sober!!
Hi all,
Today I'm 100 days sober! I know it's not a long time, but for me it's huge
I never thought this was possible in the 13 years I was seriously drinking. I feel fantastic! Just 100 days ago I was seriously considering suicide, or trying to get myself in a psych ward because of bipolar. I was a gibbering mess, barely able to tie my shoelaces. Without booze, I'm so much more stable. The problem is still there, but sober I can deal with it much better. I'm allowed to go back home to my daughter. I now have the energy to go running, hill walking, climbing, kayaking. I can get a job without getting fired because I don't have hangovers which make me completely unreliable. I can drive at night, and pay more attention to my daughter.
I couldn't have done this without SR and all of you guys. Mostly I just read, and it helps. AA and SMART too, but mostly SR. Thank you all.
Gonna celebrate with a very rock n roll cup of cranberry and orange tea
