A quick little reflection.

I had a little time to reflect today. There was a situation at work this afternoon that was quickly escalating into an emotional outburst, and old VikingGF would have jumped right on that train. Instead, one of my sober coworkers, whom I have recently developed a strong bond with, and I respect very much, just looked at me while it all happened and kind of shrugged and we both walked away. I'm coming up on my 50th birthday, and I'm so grateful to be this better me rather than the one I used to be.

Thank you, friends, for you have been here every step of the way.

Way to rise above the drama, Viking. It feels so good when we manage to do that.

Drama holds no appeal to me any longer. It's a great way to be.

I am the same way... just stay the heck away. Not my monkeys not my circus.

Good for you!

Good going, VikingGF. The benefits of sobriety just keep unfolding and unfolding, don't they?!

Since I'm an empty nester, I have little drama in my life now that the kids are gone. I don't miss it.

Far better to be observing from the back row...leave all the unnecessary drama behind. Life is already full of wobbly bits!

I have a loved one who is in the midst of addiction.
Watching the acting out and dramatizing of problems and issues instead of working through them is heartbreaking.
