White knuckling

I'm kinda white knuckling my way through today, man oh man the urge to drink is bad- alllllll day
I'm still holding on though.
I could use some encouragement xx
Maybe a little game- I made a thread like this before and it delighted me.
Could you tell me the
Best part of your day?
Worst part?
Most interesting?

This'll keep me distracted

Thanks xo

Cleaned my house today
Washed clothes
Made a pot roast
Wanted to excerise but didn't

Stay strong you got this one. Deep breaths and if you can go for a walk.

Decided to make bison sloppy joes. With the homemade tomato sauce I tucked away in the freezer a few months ago. Feeling rather domestic.

It gets better.

Well. Jen....as you already know I'm eating some of your favorite candy right now! Ha! I'd say that's a highlight of my day! That and I found a $20 in my jeans pocket! Woohoo!

Don't you dare drink sister! AN urge is just an urge and we don't have to act on it!

Did you catch any fish?

Been a very long day- best part walking my dogs in the Autumn sunshine, worst part waking up with a horrible hangover after 7 days sober..Interesting part was watching Goggle Box on tv.
Stay sober x

Best part of my day was walking my dogs three times. I haven't done much else, but that's my favorite thing to do..

watched football all day
ironed my clothes for the week
spending time on SR
Nothing else going on, and that's fine with me. I like to occasionally take one day and do almost nothing. Kinda gets me ready for a busy week.
I know what you're going through so I know how tough it is. It takes a lot of strength and determination to survive those early days, but it's well worth it.
Here's a really silly joke I heard the other day from an eight year old. What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef. Sorry, but that's the best I've got. Got another one about a duck that goes shopping, but it's even worse than the cow joke. John

Thanks everyone, I'm starting to feel better, I just got into my pyjamas and I'm in bed, I'll hang around here, watch netflix and read, also cook something in a little bit.
I'm not sure why today is so tough!

No fish Bynn!

Just know the desire to drink will pass. I know that each time I ride a craving a get stronger.

Let's see best part....hmmmm the whole days has been good. Yoga was good but my back is acting up...that would be the worst part. My daughter is working on her speech so I'm listening to her, which is always fun. Day has been very uneventful actually. Just relaxing on the couch, watching a little Dexter between listening to the kid.....

So when Secret Drinker told us that she envisions her father as the face of her AV I really liked this. I now envision my highly critical ex telling me that I'm gonna fail, why not drink and it stops that addiction in its tracks! Hang in there.

Tonight is tough for me too. I was going to go to a meeting but I came here to read instead. My first meeting was kinda awkward. Anyway, cleaned the house but other than that I've been lazy. I'm in my pjs too about to catch up on scandal and read some more here. Glad you're feeling better

I played baseball with my 6 yr old grandson, and I climbed the jungle gym with my 4 yr old granddaughter - absolutely the best parts of my day.

I drove 3 hours today back to my previous living area and am visiting friends. Do you have a close friend you can call?

This will get better and you will get through this. I believe in you.

Hang in there, Jen. You're doing great :-) I like putting on pjs to fend off urges to drink too.

Well, early in the day over here, so best part so far has been coffee and toast while reading on SR :-)

Best: So far, it's being dumb with my sister.
Worst part: Knowing I'm procrastinating a bunch of stuff I should be doing, like, all day ...
Most interesting: Good lord, if I answer this you'll see how boring I am. Okay, fine. I opened up all my board game boxes and reorganized all the pieces to make sure they were stored in there as well as possible, because I love my board games, and doing this reminded me of all the games I haven't played in a few months, so now I'm scheming ways to get the people in my life to play them with me in the near future, because board games are awesome.

PJs and netflix sounds good, I'll probably be at a PJs and Amazon instant How to Get Away with Murder stage later on tonight.
