My doctor says I'm schizophrenic lol
He suggested I go back on my medication. So did my ex and friends. Ahahahaha! Reality is a joke. At least I know what is real now. It's just annoying. I can't deal with it anymore.

I'm supposed to be on olanzapine, or seroquil.
My ex won't let me move back home until I get a script for the drug therapy. I was supposed to move home yesterday. He thinks I'm crazy.

I am assuming there was a time in your life when things were in balance? You had a career and a family. Quitting drinking is a great step back towards that, and I would assume getting back on your meds would help too if the doctor has recommended it. Checking in to a faculty for a while where you can get some help and rest would be worth exploring too.
Dunkelheit hiya
You really need to go back on your meds. The fact that your doc , your ex and your friends are telling you ...they all can't be wrong.
Often schizophrenics go off their medication cos they are feeling ' normal' & don't think they are needed anymore. It's like me with my deep depression I've been in.
I thought I was ok , went off ...then just couldn't deal with life. Is this all there is etc. I didn't want to wake up in the morning .
Now I'm back on them , I always wonder why the hell I think I'm gonna be ok. It's the serotonin levels in my brain , the electrical impulses go haywire.
It's more torturous being off them than on them.
I have a best friend with schizophrenia and one with bipolar.
The same thing happens when she goes off her serouquil and olanzapine .
You can do this , you obviously have people that love you & care for you , you're really lucky .
Good luck & go back on the meds Hun . You won't regret it
Xxx .

Why not listen to your doctor and get even again? My friend uses the same medication, but says it's freeing knowing there is help. He deals with his mother who has the same medication and he prefers to stick on the meds while mom often doesn't....can you consider taking it for a while? Now that you are sober, it may be different?
Love and hugs to you!

I wish I had a dog. I'm supposed to be looking after my schizophrenic cousin's dog until he's fine again. I want to train the dog for him. It's 8 months old, not trained. He loves the dog.
I hate my genetics. Like why is this a thing? I have a degree in biology, but here I am. An addict, and insane apparently.

Untreated alcoholism can make an alcoholic act bat **** f@@king crazy to say the least. Seen people make remarkable changes, but stopping drinking is just not enough. Have to do the work. That said, none of us here know your medical history or are in a position to diagnose you or anyone else. I personally would rely only upon a psychiatrist that knows my addiction history and understands the disease of addiction to treat me, especially if it involved mood altering drugs.
Dunkelheit, I have been following your posts a bit and the challenges you have faced due to mental illness (your words). Seems like everyone around you is recommending to take your meds again? Why not give that a try?
You have a degree in biology , that doesn't surprise me .
Most schizophrenics and bipolars are highly intelligent people like you.
They function really well in society, in their personal lives etc until they go off their meds.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by going back on them dunk .
Why make life harder on yourself than it has to be.
Get your script , do your drug therapy and move back in with your ex and make him your UN ex if that hat you want .
The balls in your court hun and from where I'm standing you can have a happy life instead of sabotaging it.
I really want this for you.
Why be miserable xx
