Leave SR, go to AA
Writing this for those who are alcoholic, not stay at home women who drink too much wine
This is a message to the alcoholic: STOP reading the posts here. They will keep you sick. Stay off this page and go to an area AA meeting.
These people are not alcoholics.

I peruse these forums every so often and see a common theme: people who drink more than they'd like to. My fear is that alcoholics read this and take the advice. A disclaimer should be made: this forum is for people who drink more than they would like to, not for those who are addicted.
I would disagree on all of your points with the exception of go to AA. I put away a fifth of vodka daily for 15+ years and was physically dependent, drank and drugged excessively for close to 40 years. Almost died from withdrawal.
Not proud to say it but I and many others on SR were hard core alcoholics and addicts.
SR is a wonderful resource and is just one of the tools in my bag of tricks.
I have found closing my mind to methods of recovery takes me one step closer to a drink
