No hospital. I run the risk of deportation as I've on overstay. Fell in love, and we lived together for a little more than 3 years. I decided love trumped immigration law, so overstayed so we could be together.
A clinic to get meds is a possibility. That I can do without risk. No hospital though. I'm a foreigner -- I'm not checking into a hospital for an alcohol detox.
Anyway, back to bed. Hopefully the night terrors start soon. I don't like not dreaming.

Yipes. Hang in there, Troy. I too have tested this and know it's no myth. But be very careful. You can get through this, and if your situation restricts you from medical attention, that's all the more reason to make this one the last one. Thinking about you.

Sorry for not updating. 28 hours since last drink. I was drinking when I made this thread, and that's when a bad case of the shakes started. That's when I knew I had to stop.
Body is working fine, expelling the toxins. Shakes are still there pretty decently, but slowly dissipating. Mind is clearing. Dogs no longer worried.
Still not dreaming, which I don't like due to shaking as much as I do. I don't like completely blank / black sleeps.
I'm exhausted. Back to bed. Thanks for the concern everyone. I'll be ok now.

I hope you're hanging in there, Troy.
I too, believe I suffer from "Kindling".....Binge drinking followed by quitting cold turkey....over and over again.
It finally got to the point that I couldn't handle the pain of withdrawal anymore......the symptoms definitely intensified....
Hang in there and keep us posted! Wishing you all the best.

Hey benice, thanks. I'm good, just still a little fatigued, waiting for the insomnia stage to kick in. Sober though. It's not that I don't want to drink, it's that I can't. I don't think my body can sustain another binge + detox, and quite obviously I cant moderate. Retread's story definitely helps.
How are you? The class? I'll take a read through the class thread later today. Have to get some work done, before I go back to bed again.
Also, thanks to everyone else for your support and concern.
