That's great! I"m just on Day 1 and I've let it go so long, the thought of alcohol makes me want to vomit right now. Can't wait to be you on Day 3.

Give yourself the time and space to change TheLou - 9 days is great but I'd probably crave on a date night like that too.

What about working something out for next date night where alcohol doesn't have to be involved?

You will eventually be ok with people drinking around you, even spouses :)
You'll build those sober muscles :D

Day 13!! Last night we went out to listen to music with 2 other couples. It was fun (I behaved). No one got drunk but they all had a couple of beers. I was drinking club soda. One of the wives asked me if I was pregnant since I wasn't drinking. I smiled and said no and left it at that. I'm sure they are all wondering. I also talked to my husband about date nights and he has agreed not to drink on those nights. Nights like last night don't bother me. But one on one time with him does. Just glad to almost have 2weeks!!!

Maybe next date night go to a movie. There is a lot more to do then dinners. Be creative.

That's for sure. It has been difficult for me when my husband drinks. I guess I'm jealous.

Day 17! Feeling really strong😀. Tomorrow my kids and I are going to Disney with my parents for 5 days. Not drinking there will be easy as my parents dont drink and are very against alcohol. My first real test will be nov 7 when we go to a ball.

Today is day 22! This is the first time I have had a MAJOR craving. We just got back from Disney with my 2 very small kids and my parents (who are very stressful). I'm worn out both physically and mentally. I just want to grab a glass (or more) of wine and relax. I'm being good right now by taking a hot bath with a great cup of coffee.

22 days is great! Hang in there. Having a drink is not going to make your life better. Just keep reminding yourself that.

Way to go on 27 days

Made it through the urge. Tears were shed. It just stinks that I can't be normal. I'm grieving. It's just ridiculous to be hurting this much over not being able to drink.
