Will Miss You All for A Bit

Thanks to all of you for sharing your stories and for giving support and guidance. It has definitely helped me to get to Day 12. Now comes a new challenge: Fly fishing with my brother and a friend for 8 days in Wyoming. Neither of them are big drinkers and they'll be supportive, so I should be OK. Then, as soon as I get back I have two full, intense business days and then a 5-day trip to London. I'll be away from home for 14 days in all. The vacation is nice, but jumping right into the intense work schedule is not ideal. I drank before to "relieve" that kind of stress, but I don't want to now. I know it will only ruin me physically and make things even harder. Anyway, I hope to check back in with you in 10-14 days and still be Sober.

Thanks again and I hope we all make it through the week, one day at a time.

Why not load the SR app on your phone and check in when you can. I realize there may not be coverage on the river but possibly in town there will be. I was recently camping in Idaho and frequently got signals even on the Salmon River.

Also, by the time your meetings start you'll be at three weeks, which I always found to be a tipping point, where things got a lot easier. Fewer thoughts about drinking.

Youll do great in those business meetings if you're not drinking also. Seriously. I hope you make it through.

There's a lot of free WiFi hotspots in London, so definitely check in to SR while you're on your business trip. It's hard to imagine a business trip in the UK that won't involve your hosts wanting to take you to the pub, so you'll want to do some advance planning for how to handle that situation. May be a great opportunity to check out some West End shows instead.
