My last few threads have been about problems, so I'm really keen to post some good stuff.
I ran into my brother recently and I've not seen him for nearly a year (lives in another area). It was lovely to see him and he said to me, "How come you manage to look younger than when I last saw you?" Brilliant!
My daughter said to me a few days ago, "you're doing so well mum, you seem so much calmer and happier in yourself" Brilliant.
Such fantastic feedback from very very important people.
This sober life is really working!!

Thanks Anna, it really is. If I get to the end of this month (and I feel I will), I will have made 6 months booze free. That is pretty amazing to me after soaking myself daily for 30 years, (bit of a break whilst pregnant and a few half hearted attempts at a week off, every few years).

Thanks Dee and everybody. Off on my hols at the weekend, so doubt I will be on the site much, will miss it. I had this holiday in mind when I joined SR, looking for ways to get through without drinking. I'm not arrogant about it, I'm pretty sure I'll be tempted, but also know I can't spoil what I have.
Sincerely hope to post in a couple of weeks, proud of myself.
