Day 2!
Day 2!
Was very tired today - didn't have to work so slept a lot! Evening was nice with hubby but for a few minutes I started feeling deprived and a little depressed.........I made the right choice and grabbed a soda and had a sober evening We were watching T.V. and someone on there said something that resonated with me "Winners do what losers don't". From that point I did not feel deprived or depressed, in fact I sat there and smiled to myself. Thank you all for being here...one day at a time
Congrats on day 2.
Quitting alcohol is the beginning of a new life of strength, stamina, and confidence.
Physically, you will do a 180 w in a few days. Depending how long and hard you drank, the mental will continually improve but, for me, will take a few months or longer. This is the taught me, that was norMal.
It is amazing waking up guilt free.

2 days is so early on, that you will have those kind of feelings. The thing to figure out is how to deal with them. Come up with a list of things to do when you start to feel like that. What can you do? What can you say/talk to someone? Can you write it down? Its all about finding distractions, and what can take your mind off of it for a little while.
Good job on Day 2, Suzie, and on powering and thinking through a weak moment last night.
As jryan said, having a handy list of things to do when feeling week or triggered can really help.
Keep on; you will get stronger and stronger with time.
