Someone said, "You are not hopeless"

in a post a short while back. I can't find the post but remember that it was great.

I think a lot of people could use that post right now. Can you help me find it?

Were those words in the title of the thread or something that was said in a post?

It was the gist of the thread title if not near verbatim. It said that all your feelings of failure and desperation and want and need and temptation and sorrow and grief...are temporary.

You hold the power to change your life. Don't give in to the despair. Hold your head up, straighten your back, and we'll walk forward with you.

It was a great thread, wherever it is.

Well, here is that one - don't know if it's the one Trach wants, but it is awesome.

I CAN'T REMEMBER! I'm old and addlepated from alcohol! It was a great inspirational thread.

I just know that you can't give in to the blackness.

Bimini

Every day is a birthday. I am reborn at 2 or 3 every morning.

I don't lament growing. I lament the wasted time.

Old and addled, yes. But the post I was referring to insisted that whatever momentary bad times you were going through would end. And the Original Poster is right. It will end. It will get better. Stop using or drinking and tough it out. As bad as the transition is...

Life gets better

There is someone on this forum that consistently says there is not a single problem that alcohol won't make worse. I've been thinking about that a lot lately because it is so true.
