A bit of advise

Hi

Am not wanting any medical advice just a bit of personal advise.

I had two high liver tests and last one was fine( I think was wrong)

I have a bad chest infection and have been taking doxycycline for two days and just read you should not be taking it with liver issues as the drug will put up liver enzyme.

Should I just keep taking them and accept my liver is ok or stop?

Thanks guys

Here's my personal advice...

Ask your doctor.

Hmmm - sounds to me like you are asking for medical advice :-)

Ask your doc...

Just my thinking, but I would call the Dr. and ask. I sure don't know the answer and know if it was me I would.

Just a question ... is your doc a gastroenterologist? I have liver issues (thankfully now mostly resolved) and was sent immediately to a gastroenterologist who specialized in liver disease when I had high liver enzymes twice in a row.

No he is not 1st two test were high last one was fine after the worst drinking of my life and getting liver pain.

As he did ultrasound before and blood tests ok he thinks I am fine.

If you think your doctor is useless, it sounds like you should find a new doctor. Last time I checked there was more than one out there.
