Just found this place!
Hi! I am 10 months sober from alcohol, cocaine, and benzodiazepines. I was directed here by my sponsor. Seems like a good community. I don't drink or use, but struggle with old behaviors. I've been feeling anxious lately.

I found this forum relatively recently too - congrats on 10 months and I pray that you have another clean/sober day tomorrow. When you stop, anxiety certainly does overtake you for awhile, but it every new sober day helps you build up your natural ability to regulate anxiety a little bit more. Hang in there Scssa!

Thanks everybody! Passerbydave, yeah I was doing really well. I started a new healthy hobby, and have been enjoying my sobriety... A couple of weeks ago I started having anxiety again... It's weird. I am trying to be proactive.

well, i imagine for you the name makes sense.
if you stick around, and i hope you do, maybe you'll reveal a simpler name we could call you , or i'll just take the middle part and call you sam
and i read just the other day that when we struggle with or are in "old behaviours", then they're not really old.

Welcome Scssamss. 10 months is awesome. You had sure had a lot of stuff to deal with. You will find SR to be a wonderfully supportive community. I sure do. I am also an anxiety sufferer. I drank to relieve my anxiety, which only made the anxiety worse and made me drink more. Just having someone ( lots of someones) here to help and support is comforting. Keep coming back.
