Post Anyone have stomach pain with Sam-E

hey all I started taking Sam-e for a few weeks now along with fish oil, acidophilus, and a b-complex and today I've had the worst stomach pain imaginable, after taking a rantinidine I feel better but wonder if it's the Sam-e that caused this.

I'd check with a doctor, supplements can have all kinds of unwanted effects and cross reactions are possible too.

Thanks, I'm going to stop the Sam-e for now and hope for the best, believe me if it gets worse I'll go see the dr.

I've never taken sam-e but I know high potency B can make me nauseous on an empty stomach.

No idea what Sam-e is, but if you are taking synthetic vitamins you can get a terrible stomach ache. I was taking a synthetic multi vitamin and nearly vomited each time I took it. Only after a little googling did I find out there are different types of vitamins. I would still ask your doctor though.

I tended to blame this supplement or that supplement on various aches and pains when I was withdrawing from alcohol . In my case looking back I don't think it was any of them but just my body adjusting . Anxiety can cause a million weird symptoms , at least in my case .

Pop round to the GP to put your mind at ease .

Hope you feel better soon .

I agree with the others and would ask a doctor. I took Sam-E for a while and did not experience any stomach pain but it did alter my mood and made me very confrontational, which is not like me at all.
Good luck.

Thanks all for the replies! I took a census in the house and I'm going to conclude it is not the Sam-e but darling little cosco muffins that went bad as another household member came down with the same issue. I am feeling much better after lots of water and rest and this morning u took a ginger root!
