Still Progressing
Just a quick post.
I've been working daily on my attitude towards "not drinking" considering the fact that there are times that I say to myself, "this sucks not being able to hang out like I use to". So I get a little irritated.
However, as the days have gone by my attitude has become more and more positive. But everyday is a work in progress.
On Day 82 currently.
Take care people

You have the right attitude.
You can still hang out, just don't drink.
Your real friends will respect you.
Alcohol is a drug, like cocaine, or pot. It fries your brain. It's addictive.
The difference....it is taxed...the Government makes money on it. All the way around.
Keep taking care.

I know exactly what you mean. It's easy for the AV to convince you that life is less fun now you're not drinking.
That's bullsh*t
Sounds like your attitude is changing to a good one. Congrats on 82 days! You're doing great!

Hi.
"this sucks not being able to hang out like I use to". So I get a little irritated.
Congratulations on your sober time.
My feeling is irritation is so superior to trying and failing again and again along with the misery continued drinking brings on.
When I feel low I make a gratitude list of the things I am grateful for.
I can start with my sobriety, eyesight, heartbeating, fingers, hands, feet, trees, rain, even snow, family and friends and on and on.
We are so often blessed but don’t realize it.
BE WELL
