Saturday morning thunder....
Everyone is still sleeping so this is "jeff time". I wanted to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I also started this thread because upon re-reading my post on my other thread, I could see that it could be perceived as boisterous or pompous, and that was not my intention, so I am sorry. I was simply thinking out loud and taking to heart what so many of you said. And what many of you said was very important to me. It felt like some of you were reaching out to put your hand on my shoulder and say "slow down buddy, it's going to be ok". And I thank you for that.
Birthday was wonderful, we took in some college football, some sushi, and a pizza. Odd combination, but it was delicious. Hope everyone has a safe and happy weekend.

I didn't think it was boisterous or pompous Jeff.
It's a common trait I've notice among many of us here - we can sometimes second guess ourselves a lot and be our own worst critics.
One of the greatest gifts of recovery for me learning not to be too hard on myself.
OK, lol, I'm still tough on myself - but nothing like the flagellation that used to go on.
That stuff was unreal.

Jeff, I didn't read anything like that in your message. Just SR doing what SR does: People asking for support, and receiving it, when times are particularly tough.
Today's my first day of vacation (yay!). Wish I could have slept later than I did, but I think the thunder must have been making itself known in these parts, too.

Happy birthday Jeff, I hope you enjoyed you sushi pizza. How are your legs doing, It was around memorial day when you hurt yourself right? I hope you are doing good, I have had some bad cravings as of late but have not caved in.
