Hey again

So, I was sober for almost two months. Relapsed and was out for 3 days. I can't believe how sick and scared and angry I feel. I need some hope. I keep feeling like nothing is going to be okay. I've seen this program work for so many people, but I feel like it won't work for me .
Thanks guys

just give it another go. Beating yourself up is part of the problem - it feeds the 'whats the point' monkey.

for me feeling good again turned out to be a common stumbling block. It would pay to review how you led yourself to the decision to drink again.

That's what drinking REALLY feels like for me: sick, scared, and angry, like nothing is going to be ok. It's our disease. You had two months, you can get right back in it. Consider starting that now!

Congrats on 3 days clean!

Each time you relapse your suffering will escalate. The damage to your brain will take longer to heal. Your anxiety will increase. Unless you stay drunk, but then you are in the death spiral...

The 1 or 2 hours of alcohol induced calm and bliss are not worth the days and nights of suffering when trying to moderate...

My best advice...

I'm studying this book like no other...

Alcoholics Anonymous : Alcoholics Anonymous

Steps 1 thru 3 summarized..hopefully to get you out of the woods is...

Call out to your higher power...admit there you are not in control...you need help...

Keep praying...

You are in the right place for help...

Keep trying my friend, I had several relapses at the one month mark, I always had some drinks around 30 days, but I kept trying and now I'm 5 months sober

Yup, AA. I have a sponsor, a home group, and a service position. I'm heading out the door to go to a meeting now . Don't know how do this. Even with the tools laid at my feet.

Keep going. Keep coming around here. Increase your game. Post here or call someone if you're feeling like drinking.

You can do it. You had two months.

Hi LScotty, don't lose site of those 2 months. You did them, you proved to yourself you can succeed. Use that to motivate yourself. I don't envy you at the moment because I know how you feel. To say its an unpleasant feeling is an understatement. Good job on the meeting. You have my unconditional support man.
