What is wrong with me?
What is wrong with me?
I woke up at 4:50am this morning and got up! I made it to work and hour and a half earlier! What's wrong with me? LOL I never get up this early. But it feels good to be able to get a good night sleep and wake up early and ready to tackle the day! I've lost 11 pounds but haven't really noticed until this morning while I was getting ready. I felt/feel sexy. My husband definitely noticed, he didn't say so, but his actions let me know
It's been 40 days since we both quit drinking/drugs. Things are turning around. He is enjoying his new job. My co laid off 25 people this week but I made the cut. We are both employed and getting back on track. We will never go back. I've been a little discouraged, in early sobriety, because we've been so behind on bills and couldn't see a way out. But now the light is shining through and I can see a brighter future. We are truly blessed. I couldn't have done this without God and I'm so very thankful for everything he has done for me and my family.
For anyone struggling through their first days or weeks in sobriety - keep going. You can do this. I didn't think I could get past the first day without alcohol but I did. It's not easy but IS doable. Things won't get better over night but things WILL get better with more time. I still have a ways to go but feel more confident than I have the past couple of weeks.
Happy Friday.
