Here I am again on my own....

hoping someone got the whitesnake reference...
so I've fallen again and had a 3 day alcohol and valium bender that ended up with an overnight hospital visit. my partner has pretty much told me this is the final straw and has giving me the ultimatum that if it happens again she walks. its happened more times than I can count on 2 hands and I don't blame her. I've also been diagnosed with anxiety and depression and am here more than anything to help with managing the withdrawals which aren't too pleasant right now. It's been 48 hours since my last drink and the doctors discharged me knowing I had taken valium which with the long half life no doubt is helping ease the withdrawals. so I guess i'll be here for a while. looking forward to a warm welcome.

Goin' down the only road I've ever known.
Like a drifter I was born to walk alone.

You don't want to be that drifter dude, time to really change things up. Make a sober plan and fill your days up with anything to keep you busy. It's seriously not easy but can be done.

Peace X

Thanks for the quick replies... can anyone advise what I can expect in terms of withdrawal time lines? I was drinking for 3 days straight mixed with benzos... my anxiety isn't too bad now.. is the worst over?

Mine lasted for 3 days after a 3 day bender. They were somewhat mild though. You'll feel much better soon. : )

You can't beat a bit of 80s classic rock!!

. . .there's a lyric in it though "I ain't wasting no more time"

You don't have to give any more time to alcohol Dim!!
