I just tried to send Gilmer a hug for feeling more energy today than a month ago and was told "thread closed." Hah! No six hundred club for us.
Brain, was that "gold" clubs or "golf" clubs? If they're gold, they're surely worth more. You could permanently retire on gold clubs.
I'm feeling a little better than I was.

Freezing peaches is easy, Ruby. Slice them, lay them out on cookie sheets, freeze, then transfer to freezer bags. Or if you don't mind them being lumped together, just put them in bags and freeze them. Whether or not to peel first depends on what you'll be using them for. Mostly mine go into smoothies so I don't bother.
whahhhh "this thread is closed" so I was in the middle of posting and got blocked...
anyway, one out of a peck of nectarines we picked on Saturday went bad.
It was a contest to see if we could finish them before they started to spoil...
looks like 575 is a new record that will probably stand for a long time,
see yaz tomorrow on the new thread -

so M, I never got to start my seasonal job this past spring as I was let go before I started...
I think I am going to go for a whole basket of nectarines this time and freeze them as you suggest. My idea is to slice and freeze them as you indicate. Then when solid, dip them in water to flash freeze a coating of ice on them to protect them from freezer burn. Then bag them and store in freezer. I still have walleye that are ten years old I think. I think they're walleye. I found some kind of fish froze in a block of ice in my freezer.... still good forever as long as they remain encapsulated in ice...

Thunderstorm happening here now, I've been watching it build up on the weather radar.
But I got out and bought large oysters to pan fry for lunch, and am planning on making a pear cobbler for dessert tonight.
Happy sobriety to all!
