The fate that awaits them with me is better than a life in captivity.

Congrats on shotgun Ruby!
One of these days I'll make it to first page.

Oysters.... I had them once when I was 17 because the love of my life (David somebody...) ordered them and I wanted to seem sophisticated (he was 22). I threw up in his car. Very sophisticated. Of course, it could've been the case of beer we drank but since I couldn't fathom giving up beer I blamed it on oysters and havent touched one since.

Good one Mesa.

Ok....I didn't realize people (Della) had an actual strategy for getting shotgun. No wonder I've never gotten it.

Good night, Della! Good luck! I'll be sleeping, hopefully, when the new thread goes up.

I'm planning to go to a 10:30 AA meeting and then visit my dad and if I have energy and time I may go to the beach.

Trying to muster some energy to fight my daughter into bed.

Well, if we're still training for decades for shotgun on this thread it means we're sticking and staying. That's a good thing, right?

Freezing the peaches is a great idea. I was going to can them but freezing is much easier. I have at about 100 on my little tree. Should be ripe soon.
never was a big oyster fan. But I love east coast fried clams, or baked stuffed clams.
geeze. ..all this talk of food is making me hungry again. And I just ate vegetarian chili with rice. Btw...I'm about to can the vegetarian diet and buy some bacon. My cholesterol went UP. Have a dr appointment tomorrow and I bet I'll have to go back to the higher dose of statin drugs. I guess it's just a genetic matter. Barbecue ribs may be on the HaF weekend menu.
Congratulations Ruby for shotgun. If my dogs wake me up tonight I'll give it a try.

Thanks for peach freezing tips. You reminded me that I'm going to run over to parents to pick some tomorrow.
Thanks for the well wishes Della!

HaF, you reminded me I'm supposed to get a blood test. Sigh. Blood glucose and cholesterol. Enjoy the ribs.

I just want to shove everyone but me in bed. I want peace and quiet and my own TV program

Ahem ~

A new Teacher known as Miss Licker
With Surname that was quite the kicker
Had umpteen SmartAsses
In numerous Classes
Was used to the sound of the Snicker

Burma Shave

I swapped Biz Cards eons ago at a Trade Show, and really had to bite down. Hard. In a bit of real Knee Slappin' Humor, the Parents of this Guy named him Richard Hyman.
