Leb - checking in at 8 months
 

Hi there everyone,

I'm just checking in. I've been sober now for 8 months.
I feel really great and only have passing moments of thinking about alcohol now.

However I continue to read on here and remain vigilant as I can be impulsive.

I think when I started this in January I wrote that I just wanted to live my life without constantly thinking (worrying) about alcohol and when I would drink and how I could get away with a binge. I would change shifts at work, cancel appointments so that I could drink for hours. Everything revolved around alcohol.

Well guys it really is happening now. I consider it miraculous. I would never have achieved what I have so far without the support of my friends here. So a huge thank you to you all.
