50 days
Well I can't believe I've reached 7 weeks/ 50 sober days! I'm still adjusting to life without alcohol as it's been my best friend for such s long time. People have started commenting about how healthy I'm looking, and my boys have told me that I'm a happier Mum lately.. Trying very hard not to dwell on the guilt of what I've put my kids through...just need to stay on track now.
I'm still finding the thought of socialising overwhelming but I have agreed to go out to a good friend's birthday dinner on Thursday night.. i know there will be a lot of alcohol so I need to be mentally prepared for any temptations.. Luckily I'm driving so it's not an option to drink....I've come too far now anyway but somehow the thought of having a wine or ten is never far away!! Onwards and upwards- x

50 days is brilliant. Good move being the driver for the coming party.
It's wonderful people are noticing how well you look too, but most precious of all is your kids comments. The biggest and best thing for me is being a better mum, don't want to miss anymore of it.

Congrats on 50 days! Good luck with your dinner on Thursday. Have an exit strategy in place beforehand and remember these forums are always here to help you 24/7 if you need to drop a quick post on your phone, etc.
