Day4

Today I have successfully made it through the day with no alcohol. I'm counting down until bedtime which will be 8pm local time for me. I have been completely exhausted, lonely, sad and depressed today. I know it is the normal progression of withdrawing, but it stinks.

Tomorrow I will be going to an early church service, then heading an hour away to visit my family. That will help stay sober. I was really worried about the weekend yesterday, about how to stay sober. I feel better now about that. I know with time I will feel happy again.

Thank you everyone for the support you have provided me so far. It has been a lifesaver.

Day 5 here I come....

You're doing great Sinderos!

There were some days in early sobriety that were hard and I was tired to where I just decided to go to bed early. I completely relate to what you're going through. One of the things that kept powering me through was knowing I never had to go though what I was experiencing ever again if I didn't pick up.

Good for you! Is the a new record for you? Having activities out of the house was helpful to me the first week.

Getting through that first weekend is a major milestone for most people, so nice going. You'll find that every weekend will get easier. Staying busy is very important. Your doing great. John

Hang in there, Sinderos! It does get better after a couple/few weeks...I know that it sucks now but it will be worth it.

Making it through the first weekend is huge. I remember how hard that was for me. Keep going. With each little victory you'll feel better and be stronger. I think of each day I make it sober as adding a little to a brick wall between me and my addiction.

4 days is an accomplishment. Early sobriety is not easy. But you're doing it, sister!
