Day4
Today I have successfully made it through the day with no alcohol. I'm counting down until bedtime which will be 8pm local time for me. I have been completely exhausted, lonely, sad and depressed today. I know it is the normal progression of withdrawing, but it stinks.
Tomorrow I will be going to an early church service, then heading an hour away to visit my family. That will help stay sober. I was really worried about the weekend yesterday, about how to stay sober. I feel better now about that. I know with time I will feel happy again.
Thank you everyone for the support you have provided me so far. It has been a lifesaver.

You're doing great Sinderos!
There were some days in early sobriety that were hard and I was tired to where I just decided to go to bed early. I completely relate to what you're going through. One of the things that kept powering me through was knowing I never had to go though what I was experiencing ever again if I didn't pick up.

Making it through the first weekend is huge. I remember how hard that was for me. Keep going. With each little victory you'll feel better and be stronger. I think of each day I make it sober as adding a little to a brick wall between me and my addiction.
