Proud Night
Ok, so I volunteered with work to help with a local event. I had no clue what to expect. It was from 4 to 7 pm. Get there to help and guess what... I walk in and there is a full bar. We all figured out where and what we're suppose to do then have about 30 minutes to kill. So our group went over to the bar and the boss bought everyone a drink. Me and one other lady (who doesn't drink for religious reasons) said "no thank you".
I am SO proud of me. Thing is that didn't tempt me in the least bit. Now on the ride home, I thought hmmm the liquor store is off this exit. I immediately shrugged it off and kept heading home.
I'm now home ending my 2nd day sober.

That is something to be proud of. The best part is you ARE proud. Not bummed out about it. Temptations will be many. But each time you say no, you're training your brain. It gets easier and easier.
Keep on truckin!
Sober is the new cool.

You will wake up in the morning and be so happy! That's what kept me sober in early recovery... knowing I got to wake up clean and sober feeling great. Funny, I never once woke up and wished I had drank the night before. Keep up the good work, Sinderos!
